An unmarried couple living in the municipality of Chisinau is suspected of intentionally murdering two newborn children. The biological mother aged 37 and her partner of 29, who raise four children, three of whom minors, are investigated under arrest for deliberate murder, IPN has learned from the Chisinau Police Division.

It was established that the crimes were committed in 2008 and 2009. The children were killed at home, immediately after being born. They were put in plastic bags and buried, one in the garden of the house, while another one near a local wood.

The police found the bones of the newborns at the scenes. When being questioned, the two confessed that they killed the children, arguing that they didn’t have means to bring them up. The investigating bodies ordered a medical-legal examination.

The minor children of the couple will live with relatives until a definite court decision is passed. The two faces 15 to 20 years in jail or life.
