A man aged 64 and his 60-year-old wife from Bender town were found dead in a well near a beach on the bank of the Nistru River. The couple went missing on May 3. It is presumed that the two were shot dead by the person who rented a room in their house, IPN reports.
The local press reported that the disappearance of the two was reported by their son. After numerous searches on the night of May 9, the bodies of the two were fund in a well with signs of a violent death. The recovery operation lasted until morning.
It was established that the murder was committed in the evening of May 2 in a house that belonged to the couple. The woman was killed the first and then her husband was killed. The murderer tried to hide the traces of the crime, getting rid of the bodies and the weapon.
The suspect was arrested. A criminal case over especially severe murder was started against him.
