Prophylactic public councils that will deal with the issues of problematic adolescents and asocial families will start work in each district of Tiraspol town in the Transnistrian region next year, IPN reports.
With reference to functionaries working in the social development sphere in Tiraspol, the Transnistrian press reported that the decision to constitute the councils was taken following the operation “Adolescent”. It was determined that the number of families and children who need additional attention and care and pedagogical support hasn’t decreased.
Five councils that include by an inspector for teenage issues, representatives of education institutions and elected officials of different ranks were already created in the town. This way the authorities aim to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to the problems of teens and families as these sometimes cannot be dealt with by the education institution or the teacher only. There will be worked out a complex social rehabilitation program intended for problematic teens and families.
The councils will start work next January.
