The hovercraft border crossing point Cosauti-Iampoli was closed on a temporary basis after the level of water in the Nistru River went up, IPN reports.
The participants in transfrontier traffic who planned to cross the border through the Cosauti-Iampoli border crossing point to use the points located nearby, such as Soroca – Tsekinovka (interstate), Soroca – Tsekinovka (local) and Otaci – Moghileov-Podolsk (road).
According to forecasters, the level of water on sections of the Nistru is expected to rise by 0.4m to 2 m until July 28 following heavy rain and the larger volumes of water discharged from the Dnestrovsk accumulation lake, up to 500 m3/s. There is no danger of floods.
