The hovercraft border crossing point Soroca-Tsekinovka temporary stropped work after the level of water in the Nistru River went up. The hovercraft border crossing point Cosauti-Iampoli was closed on a temporary basis for the same reason on July 27, IPN reports.
The participants in transfrontier traffic who planned to cross the border through the given points are commended to use the road border crossing point Otaci – Moghileov-Podolsk.
According to forecasters, the level of water on sections of the Nistru is expected to rise by 0.4m to 2 m until July 28 following heavy rain and the larger volumes of water discharged from the Dnestrovsk accumulation lake, up to 500 m3/s. There is no danger of floods.
