About 32% of the population thinks that since the present government has been in power, the corruption level has increased, according to the Public Opinion Barometer made public on May 21.
Approximately 30% of the respondents consider that corruption remained at the same level, while 18.2% think it decreased.
Almost each fifth respondent said that no cases when representatives of the ruling party commit corruption acts are discovered, while 11% consider that most often the police discover the corruption acts committed by ordinary people such as doctors, lawyers and teachers.
The most corrupt persons are the policemen, doctors, customs officers and teachers, while the notaries, businesspeople, employees of mayor’s offices and journalists are less corrupt, the Public Opinion Barometer says.
