Corneliu Gurin named Constitutional Court judge

The Superior Council of Magistracy on December 11 appointed former prosecutor general Corneliu Gurin as judge of the Constitutional Court, IPN reports.

The Constitutional Court consists of six judges. The Government, Parliament and the Superior Council of Magistracy each name by two judges who serve a six-year term in office.

On December 10, Igor Dolea resigned as Constitutional Court judge and informed the Superior Council of Magistracy about this. Igor Dolea was named constitutional judge in February 2013.
