Parliament Chairman Igor Corman will travel next week to Brussels to convince the MEPs that Moldova deserves visa liberalization. During his visit, Corman will address the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, IPN reports.
“This visit has a single purpose. Now that the report (on visa liberalization) has been approved by the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, I need to sensitize all who those who are going to pass the final decision, so that they do it as soon as possible”, Corman told reporters.
He said his visit will be a good occasion not just to advocate for the passage of the visa liberalization measure in the European Parliament, but also to speak about the reforms on-going in Moldova. Corman went on to add that there is a likelihood that the European Parliament will vote to waive visas for the Moldovans by the end of this month.
In Brussels, Igor Corman will meet with the European Parliament's President Martin Schulz and with the leaders of the parliamentary groups.
