“The Liberal Party stands for a coalition with four political parties. We still have to talk with Marian Lupu (PDM leader), with whom we hope the situation with Musuc (Eduard Musuc, Commist MP-to-be, former PSD secretary) in the Chisinau Council won't repeat,” Corina Fusu, the deputy president of the Liberal Party (PL), is quoted by Info-Prim Neo as stating. “The PL's biggest disappointment is rigging the elections through voter lists,” Corina Fusu said. “Citizens let themselves bought with alms, money and presents,” the PL deputy president regrets. She has said the Liberals have worked honestly in this campaign. “We are glad we don't have fewer seats than after the April 5 poll. We hope immediately after counting the votes of the citizens from abroad, we'll have one seat more,” Corina Fusu said. According to her, the PL's result has been marked by blows against its candidates, who were labeled “fascists” by the public television “Moldova 1”. “Marian Lupu is a key character now, it depends on him whether Moldova will go on a democratic way or whether we stay with the Communist government. We hope he'll stick to his word,” she said. After processing 98.34% of ballots, the PL gains 14.36 % votes.
