Minister of Education Corina Fusu congratulated the children, parents and teachers on the start of the new school year. “I wish you a productive new school year,” the minister says in a message posted on a social networking site.

Corina Fusu wrote that September 1 traditionally coincides with the moment of a new start, with the time of return to the book and profound studying of different subjects. “On the occasion of the new school year, I wish you health, good moods and pleasant reunions. Keep up your optimism, youth élan and creative effervescence throughout the school year, which I wish to be fruitful and with many accomplishments,” says the message.

The minister also wished the children who go to the first grade to have good teachers, to make friends, to achieve results in the education process and to fully profit from the school years. She wished the parents to see their children becoming mature in an appropriate way and fulfilling their dreams because, as Nelson Mandela said, ‘education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’.

The teachers are wished inspiration in teaching the young generation and in preparing it for the school of life by the principle formulated by Confucius: “'Give a bowl of rice to a man and you will feed him for a day. Teach him how to grow his own rice and you will save his life”.

More than 340,000 students began the new school year on September 1, 2015.
