The cooperation with parents in schools will lead to the minimization of juvenile delinquency risks, psychologist Sergiu Sanduleac stated in the program “Issue of the Day” on Canal 2 TV channel, referring to the case of poisoning at a school in Rezina district following the dispersing of gas vapors from a gas spray by a child in the classroom, IPN reports.

According to Sergiu Sanduleac, the presence of a qualified psychologist is necessary is each education institution, but the teachers should also have good psychological training so as to be able to better communicate with students and avoid such situations.

Valentin Berezovschi, vice director of the Chisinau Arts Lyceum “Mihai Berezovschi”, said he does not believe that the ninth grader didn’t know what effects the spray can have. In many national schools, there are fewer students and it is easier to work with each one separately, and in smaller villages the family situation of each child is known. “I’m sure that more could have been done there to prevent the use of the spray in classrooms,” he stated.

A group of 14 children aged between 11 and 15 and an adult from Pereni village of Rezina district were taken to the District Hospital in a medium grave state with such symptoms as dyspnea and cough. Two children were admitted to the intensive care section, 12 children to the pediatric section, while the adult to the therapy section.
