A 48-year-old man from the village of Lozova, Strășeni rayon, was recently located and detained in connection with serious charges of rape and non-consensual sexual acts against his minor daughters. These acts were committed between 2012 and 2017, when the girls were under 16, IPN reports
According to authorities, in January 2024, the man was sentenced by the Chisinau Court of Appeal to 25 years in prison. However, he has not started serving his sentence, having made several attempts to evade justice.
Following investigations carried out by police officers from Strășeni together with investigation officers of the National Investigation Inspectorate, the authorities managed to locate and detain him in Horodca, Ialoveni district. After his arrest, he was placed in prison.
