Convict escapes from Chisinau hospital

A 26-year-old man sentenced to four years in jail for swindle, has escaped from a Chisinau hospital this morning.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an operation to find him. Groups of armed police officers have been dispatched to different areas of Chisinau, spokeswoman for the Ministry Ala Meleca has told Info-Prim Neo.
The young man got away from the pneumoftiziology dispensary located on Grenoble Street in Telecentru district. An inquiry was launched to determine the circumstances of the case.
According to doctors of the dispensary, the man was transferred to the institution from a remand center as he needed medical assistance. He was escorted to the hospital by two police officers.
