State inspection in the field of land relations will be carried out by the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre through the agency of the State Inspectorate for Land Relations and Geodesy, together with its local inspectorates. Relevant amendments to the Land Code and other legal acts have been approved by the Government, IPN reports.
The inspections performed over the last few years revealed 823 cases of erecting of constructions on farmland. The modification of the purpose of the given land wasn’t compensated, as the legislation provides. Thus, the agricultural sector sustained losses of 185 million lei.
The local authorities drew up no report on the illegal change of the land’s purpose or on the irrational use of this land. It is hoped that the State Inspectorate for Land Relations and Geodesy and its local inspectorates will remedy the situation. The new entity will have 80 employees. A sum of 8.5 million lei was budgeted this year for remunerating them.
