Contraband in large amounts at Sculeni

A Moldovan citizen, who attempted to slip to Moldova an important lot of cosmetic products, has been discovered by the Sculeni customs agents.
The press service of the specialised department, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, specifies that cosmetic products, hidden in different parts of the car, were discovered in a Mercedes. The cost of the goods has been estimated at 60 to 70 thousand lei.
Given the fact that the cargo hasn’t been declared to customs control, the respective citizen is punishable under article no 148 of The Penal Code of Moldova.
In case that the guilt is proven, the offender risks from 3 up to 10 years of imprisonment, with the confiscation of the cosmetic products and the transport unit.
