Contest to select model of monument to Grigore Vieru opened

The Chisinau Municipal Council announced a municipal contest to choose the model of the monument to Grigore Vieru. The future monument will be set up on Grigore Vieru Blvd. The exact place will be proposed by the participants, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Chisinau City Hall. Under the contest conditions, all the illustrative materials must be presented on 600 × 800 mm boards by July 20. A sum of 145,500 lei was allocated from the municipal budget for holding the contest. Earlier, a part of the Chisinau councilors proposed placing the monument to Grigore Vieru instead of the monument to Komsomolist Heroes. The proposal was rejected by the Communist councilors.
