Young people aged between 18 and 26, who contribute to the European integration and understanding between peoples by different activities, can apply to the contest “Young European 2014”. The application forms can be filled out online on the website of the European Youth Parliament (http://polls.eyp.org/young-european-of-year-nomination-form) by October 15.
Contacted by IPN, head of the Ministry of Education’s International Relations and European Integration Division Ludmila Pavlov said such contests have been organized regularly the last few years. This year the contest is dedicated to the European citizen. They want to create a more sustainable communication and cooperation platform between young people from different countries. This contest brings the Moldovan citizens closer to Europe and the European values.
The Top Prize is €5,000. This amount is intended to finance a six-month practical traineeship with a Member of the European Parliament or another European institution. It is also possible to use the money to finance a project that promotes European integration. The prize is awarded by a German foundation.
