Consumers receive first heating bills

The Chisinau residents who own a one-room flat will pay by 163 lei on average for heat for October, those with two-room apartments - 280 lei, while those with three-room apartments - 388 lei. The heating bills started to be distributed, the head of the municipal company Infocom Ion Margineanu said in Monday’s meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Ion Margineanu said the bills for November will not be much higher than those for October as it was managed to economize on heat. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said it is good that the heat is economized as it is now warm outside. He stated that the heat in apartment buildings is used differently and thus the prices vary. The heating season for education and medical institutions was opened on October 6, while for the housing stock – on October 10. The heating bills were calculated according to the tariff of 821 lei per gigacalorie.
