Black Friday, known as the day of massive discounts, can be a good opportunity for low-cost shopping, but also an opportunity for scams and misleading offers. In order to avoid the pitfalls of discounts, the State Inspectorate for the Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection recommends consumers to be vigilant and follow some essential tips, IPN reports.

Consumers are urged to check prices a few weeks before the discounts to be sure that the offers are genuine, to follow the price evolution graphs, to compare prices on several websites and in different stores and to be aware of very low prices, which can indicate an unsatisfactory quality of the product.

When their rights as consumers are violated, they can apply to the State Inspectorate for the Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection.

Black Friday takes place on the last Friday of November and is a day with massive discounts, which marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Initially, this was an American concept, but it has become popular in many countries. Black Week expands the concept and offers discounts not only on one day, but during an entire week.
