A consumer dissatisfied with the services provided by a developer managed to get back €23,000 that he paid for an apartment. It happened after the person who signed an investment contract with a realty company complained to the Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance about the delay in finishing the construction works, IPN reports.
The consumer asked the company to terminate the contract signed by the sides for the reason that the developer didn’t observe the contractual conditions, this being an abuse on the part of the firm. The Agency asked the building company to pronounce on the circumstances invoked in the complaint and to present evidence if it does not agree with the made accusations. As a result, the company presented the orders on the transfer of the sums of money back to the consumer.
The Agency received a similar complaint in 2017. A consumer invested the money of his daughter who was abroad in two apartments situated in Râșcani district of Chisinau. As the constriction works hadn’t been completed, the woman asked to terminate the contract and to be paid back the value of the bought apartments. After the state authorities dealing with consumer rights intervened, the woman was paid back the invested almost €36,000.
