Consultations in 5+2 format to be held in Chisinau and Vienna

The representatives of Chisinau and Tiraspol in the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks will meet two times by the end of September – in Chisinau and in Vienna, Novyi Reghion Agency reports, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The agency makes reference to the statements made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Andrei Nesterenko, who said the next meeting of the political representatives of Moldova and Transnistria will take place in Chisinau on September 21 and 22 and in Vienna on September 27 and 28. Andrei Nesterenko said the meetings will be held in the 5+2 format, i.e. with the participation of the mediators (Russia, Ukraine and OSCE) and observers (the U.S. and the EU). The consultations will be informal. The official talks were interrupted in 2006 and have not taken place since then.
