Construction of social-cultural facility in Chisinau suspended

The building works on a social-cultural facility located on 26 Renasterii Boulevard have been stopped until the dispute between the residents and the construction company is solved. According to the Public Relations Division of the Chisinau City Hall, Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca signed an ordinance to cancel the urbanism certificate and the construction authorization issued to the company “Amtarex and Co” Ltd. The decision was taken following complaints from the residents living on 26 Renasterii Boulevard, who expressed their disagreement with the construction works performed by the company “Amtarex and Co”. The office of Rascani district, the Police Commissariat of Rascani district, the General Division of Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations and the Construction Authorization Division will check how the mayor general’s ordinance is carried out. This is the first broadly reported ordinance issued as part of Chisinau administration’s campaign carried out during the past months with the aim of fighting the illegal constructions and the ones that generate social conflicts.
