Construction of pizzeria on Dacia Avenue suspended

The Chisinau City Hall suspended the construction of a pizzeria near apartment block no.28 on Dacia Avenue. An ordinance to this effect was signed by Deputy Mayor Nistor Grozavu, Info-Prim Neo learned from a City Hall press release. Under the Deputy Mayor’s Ordinance, the Botanica District Head's Office and the general division for architecture, urbanism and land relations is to organize a meeting with the building's residents this week. They will examine the project documentation and the authorization for the construction works. The conflict was brought into the spotlight after a protest of the residents. Previously, the Municipality claimed that the construction didn’t contravene the architectural documentation in use. A company rented this plot of land in 2003 and reconfirmed its rights in a lawsuit in 2007.
