Constitutional Court upholds MP seat for Dumitru Godoroja

The Constitutional Court has confirmed Dumitru Godoroja, candidate on the vacancy list of the former Moldova Democrata Bloc, as a new member of the Moldovan Parliament. The seat fell vacant in Parliament on October 5 after MP Ion Ciontoloi left the legislature for the office of Causeni district chairman. The first on the vacancy list was Anatol Turcanu, but he gave up his privilege. Attending his first Parliament sitting on Friday, Godoroja refrained from making any public statement. He is currently a member of the Social Democracy Party.
