The Constitutional Court on May 10 begins to examine the Government’s request to establish the constitutionality of the Șor Party, IPN reports.
The Court said the examination process will last until May 17. “We note that only invited persons will have access to the meeting hall of the Constitutional Court,” said the institution. The hearing will be broadcast live.
The Government requested the Constitutional Court to determine the constitutionality of the Șor Party, arguing there is evidence showing that the party by its activities so far has acted against the rule of law principles and endangered the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova. The Șor Party described the Ministry of Justice’s initiative as “one more serious abuse on the part of the PAS government”.
