The Constitutional Court decided that the Parliament Decision of July 21, 2014, by which Victor Parlicov was dismissed from the post of director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), is constitutional, IPN reports.

The challenge filed by ex-lawmaker Veaceslav Ionita, who disputed the dismissal by Parliament of Victor Parlicov, was thus rejected.

Veaceslav Ionita argued that Parliament made use of a court decision, by which it was decided that Victor Parlicov held two incompatible posts, in order to dismiss him from the post of director of the ANRE Administration Board. Earlier, Victor Parlicov said that this court decision represents political settling of an old score as Parliament earlier also tried to dismiss him, but he was reinstated in his post.
