Constitutional Court chairman dismissed

The Constitutional Court voted in favor of dismissing chairman Dumitru Pulbere by a majority of votes on the basis of the application of judge Victor Puscas, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Under the decision passed by the Court on September 28, Dumitru Pulbere was discharged from the post of Constitutional Court chairman owing to the political statements that he made for the press.
Dumitru Pulbere was named chairman of the Constitutional Court on March 1, 2007 after he had been a constitutional judge for six years. On March 2, 2010, he was reelected as chairman.
