The dialogue between the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) and the Communists Party (PCRM) on the election of the head of state tends to become a banal vote begging bargain and lacks elements of ethics, consider members of the Conservative Party. The AEI must make public its offer, the party’s president Natalia Nirca said Tuesday in a news conference at Info-Prim Neo. For the time being, there is no transparency in the dialogue between the AEI and the PCRM and this lack of transparency makes the people think the Alliance makes concessions and offers immunity guarantees to the Communists in exchange for votes in favor of the candidate for the presidency, Nirca said. “Emphasis is laid not on principles and ideas, but on distribution of posts. The committed offences are being legalized. Those who supported the AEI, including the Conservative Party, will be disappointed as all the members of the Alliance during the election campaign promised to be transparent and to hold the culprits accountable,” Natalia Nirca said. According to the party’s leader, the AEI should focus on the changes of system and on Moldova’s de-Communization, while those who committed crimes must be held accountable in accordance with the law. The fact that the subject of the election of the head of state is broadly reported on distracts the people’s attention from workplaces, decent salaries and other major problems. Nirca said the AEI may have to review its decision to field only one candidate for the presidency. “If the problem resides in the candidacy of Marian Lupu, he should withdraw from the race. If such a move does not produce results, the Parliament should be dissolved. She stressed that if the early elections are the price of the talks, this price should be paid so as to send the Communists to the Opposition for good. Natalia Nirca also said that she questions the legality of modifying the law on the election of the head of state, stressing that the AEI had to obtain the approval of the Constitutional Court first.
