The connection of photovoltaic panels to the national electricity system has been simplified, secretary of state at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development Constantin Borosan informed.
In July, the Government and Parliament approved a series of amendments to the normative framework, which reduce the periods and costs in the case of own consumption. “Furthermore, the Government will soon provide a support program intended for vulnerable consumers called, Green Photovoltaic House,” stated Constantin Borosan, being quoted in a press release.
“We have solar panels with a generation capacity of 9.75 kW and this is enough to cover the energy consumption of the house, including heating. Since we put the station into operation, we haven’t incurred costs for electrical energy. Earlier, we monthly paid by 800-1,000 lei,” said Dumitru Petrari from Pepeni village, who is the first local who installed solar panels on the roof of the house.
Over 400 renewable energy installations were connected to the national power network at the end of 2021. Net metering shows the electrical energy generated by household producers is supplied to the network during the day, when it is in surplus. At night, it is consumed the electricity form the network. Electricity production and consumption are determined at the end of the month.
