Conference „Republic of Moldova- our common house” to start actions dedicated to 15th anniversary of Independence.

The multiple events planed for the 15th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Moldova will start with the conference “Republic of Moldova – our common house” which will be organized by the Office of Interethnic Relationships on August 22, 2006. The event is the first in the list of the National Action Plan dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Republic of Moldova, made public on Friday, June 2. According to the plan, on August 27, in the Public Park “Stefan cel Mare si Sfant” will be presented the best country’s brass bands, in the Great National Meeting Square singers and artistic collectives within the program “A song for the country” will perform, and the National Museum of archeology and history of Moldova will open the exhibition “Moldova and the World”. According to the same Plan, in June-August, the Office of Interethnic Relationships will publish the guide of collective associations and persons born in Moldova and living abroad, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will organize an athletic marathon entitled “15 years of Independence”, and the Science Academy will organize a scientific conference. As well the Office of Interethnic Relationships has the duty to shoot a movie together with the “Teleradio-Moldova” Company entitled “Polytechnic Moldova” as well as organizing the festival for ethnical minorities “Unity through diversity”. The Constitutional Court together with Journalist’s Union will organize the International Conference “Sovereignty and state structure in multinational countries”. The Ministry of Informational development will create and publish on the occasion a jubilee postage stamp and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will have the responsibility to organize art, ethnographic, natural history exhibitions, as well cultural-artistic actions at the “Lumanarea Recunostintei” Complex and Soroca Fortress. The events of the Plan will be partially financed by the state budget and partially by the budget of the institutions involved in the organization of these events.
