The ceremony to invest President-elect Maia Sandu, which was set to take place at the Palace of the Republic on December 24, will last for at most two hours and the number of participants should not exceed 250. The participants must wear a mask and must maintain social distancing of 1.5 meters, says a decision adopted by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission on December 16, IPN reports.
Under the decision, the organizers of the ceremony are to compile the epidemiological surveillance list of the participants in the event by the agreed model and to present it to the responsible bodes. They will also measure the temperature of each participant in the ceremony when entering the building. Those with a temperature higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius will not be allowed to enter.
The participants will have to wear a mask correctly throughout the ceremony. The chairs in the festivity hall will be placed at a distance of 1.5 meters in front, behind and laterally. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers must be made available in visible places at entrance, in halls, sanitary facilities and in the festivity hall of the Palace of the Republic.
The Commission ordered to examine the ventilation and air conditioning systems in the Palace of the Republic, to disinfect and use them according to the set technical parameters.
The Government said the decision was taken following an approach made by representatives of the Party of Action and Solidarity, who invoked the legal provisions on the procedure for investing the President of the Republic of Moldova.
