“Any discussion with the “Dignity and Truth Platform” that would lead to the removal of the Chicu Government by vote can take place only after this hypothetical anti-Dodon, anti-Chicu Government parliamentary majority is shaped and is dignified and determined to do justice to the people and to improve the living conditions,” PPPDA leader Andrei Năstase stated, referring to the public discussions on the dismissal of the Cabinet led by Ion Chicu, IPN reports.

Asked who of the MPs will vote for the appointment of a new Cabinet if the current Government is dismissed, Andrei Năstase said the responsibility will be borne by the same “hypothetic majority”, but not before this votes a set of laws that would support the Parliament decision adopted on June 8, 2019, by which the Republic of Moldova was declared a captured state.

“Such a move is needed because we have a Parliament decision on state capture and need laws to ensure the implementation of this decision on state capture. This will be a proof of the fact that those who vote are interested in changing things in the country. The removal of the current Government is a second step and the appointment of an assumed Government that will surely not include representatives of groupings that were involved in the bank theft, in the money laundering of Russian mafia and other frauds is the third step. Is this possible? Yes, it is. During what period of time? This can happen during a very short period of time,” the politician said in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.

The leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” cannot say how much the new government will work, but noted that this depends on the political will. If this does not exist, snap elections will have to be held.

Andrei Năstase said that he will not accept to form alliances in order to dismiss the Government. Appointing a Government that can cope with the situation is the main goal. “The removal of this Government is not our only preoccupation. We also want to name a competent, capable pro-European government. We came to assume this based on principles, values, reforms, rights and freedoms ensured for the people, the rule of law, our commitment to organize correct presidential elections, to ensure the proper management of the country during the sanitary crisis, the economic crisis. We do not project who will vote. All those who want this country to develop should vote.”
