The persons with locomotor disabilities could easier import units of transport and would be exempted from paying the road tax, according to the legislative amendment approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
Currently, only persons with severe locomotor disabilities benefit from concessions on the import of cars and only if the unit of transport is provided by donation and is appropriately equipped. The approved bill extends these concessions for all the persons with locomotor disabilities, regardless of the disability degree.
Under the new provisions, the persons will be able to import a motor vehicle once in five years, not once in seven years as now.
In Moldova, there are about 15,000 persons with locomotor disabilities.
