The Transnistrian administration announced that the rules of crossing the so-called border that were applied before the pandemic will be in force until June 1, IPN reports.

On his Telegram channel, the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky posted that as the COVID-19 infection rate started to decrease, the period of validity of the pre-pandemic rules when crossing the Transnistrian border will be extended at least until June 1. Other decisions will be taken deepening on the epidemiological situation.

The Transnistrian authorities during the pandemic imposed restrictions on the entry and exist of the Transnistrian region and later introduced the obligation to present the negative result of the test for COVID-19 and the necessity of obtaining the consent of the Tiraspol operational group that fights the spread of COVID- 19 for crossing the so-called border.

The restrictions on movement were relaxed for the period of the Easter holidays, until May 10 inclusive.
