Transparency International – Moldova and the National Platform of the Eastern Partnership will stage a concert in the open air with the aim of prompting the European values in Moldova. Within the event, Kaiser Band will perform classical music from the European heritage. The concert will take place in central part of Chisinau “Stephan the Great”, near the phonating, on October 9, starting at 11am.
“This is a pro-European event by which we want to promote the European values, including culture. At the same time, we want to distribute informative materials about the advantages of the European integration process,” said Lilia Carasciuc, director of Transparency International Moldova.
The organizers of the event said the goal of the event is to inform the people, to convince some of the persons who are more skeptical about the European course of the benefits of cultivating the European values in our country.
“In parallel with the concert, there will be distributed information about the European Union, about the events related to the implementation of the Association Agreement taking place in civil society. The people will be able to speak with persons who are directly responsible for areas connected with the European integration. The people will be told about how a European law, for example, can bring benefits to the Moldovan people or how the education resources of the EU can be accessed,” said Carolina Blajin, who is in charge of programs at East Europe Foundation.
The event is held within the “ProEuropa – Prodemocracy” Campaign, which is a project to promote the advantages of the European course, supported financially by USAID through East Europe Foundation and the Moldova Partnerships for Sustainable Civil Society that is implemented by FHI 360.
