Conception of database for preventing crimes to be created by October

A common database will be designed in Moldova to prevent organized crime. The conception of the information system will be worked out by October. Such a decision was taken in a meeting of the National Council for the Prevention and Combating of Organized Crime, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Government, the common database will include information that will help prevent organized crime. These data will be accessed by the law enforcement bodies and the police.

In the meeting, there was constituted a working group that will permanently monitor the implementation of the legislation and will suggest solutions for combating organized crime. It was considered the necessity of extending the legal framework concerning the confiscation and sequestration of illegally obtained property.

The National Council for the Prevention and Combating of Organized Crime was set up on May 4, 2012. It ensures multidimensional cooperation between the bodies responsible for law enforcement.
