Compudava Foundation started to distribute computers to medical institutions, boarding schools and education establishments. 100 children with motor and sensory disabilities, selected by the Ministry of Education and Youth, will also benefit from the donation, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The given donation is the largest donation of computers ever made to Moldovan institutions, a communiqué from the foundation says.
The donation includes 1,050 computers worth about 47,000 pounds (50,300 euros).
In 2003, Compudava Foundation donated 200 computers to the National Clinical Hospital, the Institute of Cardiology and the Balti Municipal Hospital as part of a pilot project.
A number of district hospitals, the University of Medicine and Pharmacology and several medical colleges received computers as part of the second phase of the pilot project continued in 2006.
The donation was made with the support of the insurance company BUPA International, the British charity Digital Links and ICS Endava SRL.
