Vasile Tarlev, nominated by the Party for the Future of Moldova, Ion Chicu, nominated by the Party for Development and Consolidation of Moldova, and Octavian Țîcu, the candidate of the electoral bloc “Together”, will take part in the last debate on October 10.

Representatives of Maia Sandu’s electoral staff told IPN that “the President’s agenda does not allow her to participate for now”, while representatives of Renato Usatyi’s electoral staff said: “We are sorry, but we arranged meetings with citizens in districts.”

The draw was monitored and partially carried out practically in front of the camera and audience by Polina Panainte, secretary of the Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections, a national electoral observer on behalf of the Association for Participatory Democracy ADEPT; Nicolae Panfil, head of the Observation Mission of Promo-LEX Association, and Alexandr Stucalov, a national observer on behalf of the Public Association “Ador Orașul Meu” (“I Love My City”).

The draw was attended by representatives of the candidates (in the order of arrival in the IPN Hall) Irina Vlah, Natalia Morari, Andrei Năstase, Alexandr Stoianoglo, and Vasile Tarlev.

Shortly after the results were announced, candidate Irina Vlah informed IPN’s administration that she regrets, but she will not be able to participate in the debate. She said that she does not have enough time because of the events that she already scheduled.
