Composition of delegation of Association Agreement negotiators changed

The Government approved amendments to the composition of the national delegation of negotiators to the talks on the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. The Ministry of Economy will deal with the practical organization of the negotiations on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, Info-Prim Neo reports. Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca heads the delegation, while Deputy Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman is the chief negotiator. Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac and Deputy Minister of Justice Oleg Efrim are deputy chief negotiators. Valeriu Gheorghiu, department head at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, is the delegation's secretary. The delegation also includes deputy ministers of Finance, Agriculture and Food Industry, Transport and Road Infrastructure, Labor, Social Protection and Family, Education, Health; directors of the Customs Service and National Bureau of Statistics; chairman of the National Commission on the Financial Market; deputy governor of the National Bank; director of the National Agency on Competition Protection, and representatives of other important subdivisions. The Association Agreement is being negotiated. There were held several rounds of talks. The negotiations on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area are to start in the second half of the year.
