Parliament instituted the Competition Day that will be annually observed on June 30, IPN reports.
The informative note to the draft decision says the Competition Day is instituted on the initiative of the Competition Council in a move to promote competition culture and the legitimate interests of consumers and to prevent unfair competition practices by disseminating information.
The institution of a national day devoted to competition is designed to improve the economic performance of a state, to open up business opportunities to the citizens of this state and to reduce the cost of goods and services in the economy, said the authors of the legislative initiative.
