After the Chisinau administration solved the problem of street trading near the Central Market, a new problem arouse. The setting up of selling places for street vendors in a tent inside the market aroused the dissatisfaction of the traders from halls, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It became fashionable to sell milk, sour cream and cheese in the tent in the Central Market,” Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said in an ordinary City Hall officials’ meeting on March 28. He informed that complaints came from persons who sell dairy products in halls. They say that most of the buyers go to the tent to purchase products. Central Market head Ion Stratulat said the tent is in great demand. According to him, not all the people who came from the country to sell dairy products last Saturday could find a selling place there. Ion Stratulat stated that the tent has a capacity of about 60 places. Only persons with a low quantity of dairy products are allowed to sell there.
