The Government will partially compensate the owners of farmland located beyond the Rybnitsa – Tiraspol road the access to which has been restricted by the Transnistrian administration since this spring.
Compensations will be provided to agricultural companies, peasant farms and private individuals from the villages Parata, Molovata Noua, Cocieri, Cosnita and Dorotskaya, whose farmland is situated beyond the Rybnitsa – Tiraspol road. A decision to this effect was taken by the Government on September 30.
The compensation for a hectare of farmland will be about 2,300 lei. A sum of 11.9 million lei will be allocated for the purpose. The applicants must submit an application to the local mayor’s office by October 15.
In a news conference at IPN, representatives of the farmers estimated the losses sustained by them, which should be covered by the Government, at 13 million lei.
