Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar called on the economic entities to show greater social responsibility, appropriate to the crisis conditions and the support provided by the government to them, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Lazar said the government aims to reduce the administrative pressure exerted on the companies and began to take relevant steps immediately after its investiture.
“We canceled a number of export restrictions by eliminating absurd certification procedures, abrogating decisions concerning the use of marks whose cost was included in the price of the products and made them noncompetitive,” Lazar said.
He also said that the government is making effort to identify foreign projects to support the real sector of the economy and tries to cover the costs of participation in different national and international promotional events for companies.
“The improvement of the investment climate and creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity were and remain the government's priorities. We expect that the economic entities will react adequately. Such measures as the artificial rise in prices in order to obtain profits of over 200%, the hiding of goods so as to sell them at higher prices when there is a shortage, the lack of respect to the consumers are inexplicable. The government, the public sector, the private sector, the businessmen – all encounter difficulties. But we must manifest greater social responsibility,” Lazar added.
