During the spring-summer session of Parliament, the Communist parliamentary group submitted 17 bills concerning different areas of activity, IPN reports.

Among Communists’ bills that were supported in Parliament was the draft statement on the inviolability of sovereignty, independence and permanent neutrality of Moldova, which was proposed in March. Though initially this wasn’t voted in Parliament as the quorum was not present, later the statement garnered the necessary number of votes.

The Communists remind that they refused to support the new composition of the Cabinet. The Communist parliamentary group is the only one that didn’t delegate a representative to work on the group that drafted the Election Code. Such actions do nothing but legalize the ‘illegal Constitutional Court judgment of March 4’, which the Communists opposed vehemently. Also, only the Communist MPs didn’t vote for the new composition of the Central Election Commission and of the Audit Office.

The Communists also mentioned the application to the prosecutor general concerning the usurpation of power in Moldova. Then, the Communists asked for the intervention of the Prosecutor General’s Office for initiating legal procedures for holding accountable the persons responsible for the violation of multiple constitutional norms, which led to the usurpation of the power in the state. No answer to this application has come yet.

The Communist MPs were the first who proposed motions against the ministers. They submitted a motion against minister of defense, but this wasn’t supported.

After the spring-summer session of Parliament, only the Socialist parliamentary group also presented a report on the work done during the session.
