The Communists must give up staging meaningless protests and stop stealing from the Government’s time, Liberal-Democratic MP Tudor Deliu said, referring to the censure motion submitted by the Communist Party. According to him, the motions show that the PCRM wants to return to power by all possible methods, IPN reports.

Tudor Deliu said the PCRM must remember what they did when they were in power before criticizing the current Government. “You say that by these migration and asylum posts the country is divided. But you forgot that the Communist Government headed by Vasile Tarlev adopted a decision by which stay rules were imposed on foreigners and stateless persons, including the Moldovans from the Transnistrian region,” he stated.

According to the Lib-Dem, the Communist MPs should remember that they did nothing during eight years to resolve the Transnistrian conflict and didn’t at least maintain dialogue with the Transnistrian authorities. “Mister Voronin, you are on the top of the list of those who signed the censure motion. You should member the year 2004, when a ban was imposed on you and you were unable to visit your native village in the Transnistrian region,” said Tudor Deliu.

For his part, Democratic MP Adrian Candu said the Communists do not care about what’s going on in Transnistria. “They no longer resist in the opposition and got into a panic. They understand that if the current Government resist for a year, their chances to return to power will fade away,” he stated.

The Communist MPs put forward two censure motions against the Leanca Government. In particular, the Communists accused the Cabinet of corruption and creation of an internal border by setting up six migration posts on the Nistru. The motions didn’t garner the necessary number of votes to be passed.
