Maria Postoiko, the leader of the parliamentary group of the Communists Party (PCRM), told the former Communist MP Svetlana Rusu she should quit the legislative seat and “look for the son under another umbrella”, Info-Prim Neo reports. The statement was made at the first sitting of the Parliament this year, on February 11. It comes shortly after Svetlana Rusu announced she decided to defect from the PCRM and join the United Moldova Party headed by Vladimir Turcan. Currently, the United Moldovan Party includes five former Communist MPs, who are now unaffiliated MPs. These are: Vladimir Turcan, Valentin Guznac, Ludmila Belchenkova, Victor Stepaniuc and Svetlana Rusu.
