The Supreme Court of Justice accepted the application filed by the Communists Party's jurist Sergiu Sarbu, which challenges the Chisinau Court of Appeals' decision not to annul the decision of the Central Election Commission and the Chisinau Electoral Council to open additional polling places abroad. In a communique, the PCRM says the Supreme Court of Justice quashed the decision of the first court and remitted the case for reexamination by a new panel of judges, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Sergiu Sarbu, the Chisinau Court of Appeals refused to assess the legality of the decision to set up polling places abroad and rejected the challenge for formal reasons. Under the Supreme Court of Justice's decision, the court is to thoroughly examine again the procedure for creating these polling places. At the Government's request, the Central Election Commission adopted a decision to open 78 polling places abroad.
