The Communist lawmakers demanded that Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman should be invited to Parliament to be questioned about the Association Agreement with the EU that Moldova is to initial at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius on November 29, IPN reports.
MP Iurie Muntean said the Communist faction considers that Prime Minister Iurie Leanca should be questioned about the diminution of the state-owned shareholding in Banca de Economii. Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, Minister of Finance Anatol Arapu and the National Bank governor Dorin Dragutanu should report on the same issue.
The Communists also demanded hearings in Parliament on the concession of the Chisinau International Airport and on the proposal to privatize a number of state institutions. They said Minister of the Interior Dorin Recean should provide explanations over the search performed at the place of one of the activists of the Communist Party.
The officials are expected to come to one of the next sittings of Parliament.
