A number of Communist councilors from several suburban settlements of Chisinau municipality on November 21 announced that they decided to leave the Party of Communists and join the Party of Socialists, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”We consider that this party (the PCRM) lost the ability to perform constructive political activity and became a radical, left-wing party, like Mark Tkachuk. We offer our support to Igor Dodon and the Party of Socialists of Moldova,” said councilman Constantin Scripnic from Ciorescu. According to him, the group that leaves the PCRM includes a councilor from Cricova town, two councilors from Bubuieci commune, three councilors from Vatra town and six councilors from Ciorescu commune. ”We announce the creation of the factions of the Party of Socialists in the local councils of Vatra and Ciorescu. We are convinced that factions of the Party of Socialists will be constituted in the near future in a number of Moldovan settlements,” said Constantin Scripnic. He also said that the councilors follow Igor Dodon because he is a politician with prospects and a new view. A statement issued by the press service of MP Igor Dodon says that the group of Communist councilors wants to contribute to the formation and promotion of a new, center-left party together with the Socialists and will make effort for the Party of Socialists to enter Parliament.
