Committee for Defense of Constitution and Democracy suspends protests

The Committee for the Defense of Constitution and Democracy decided to stop the protests staged in the center of Chisinau for a period. The Committee’s members said a scenario is prepared to repress the participants in the protests, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a statement, the Committee says that it does not give up the fight agsissnt the usurpers, but cannot allow repressing the protesters. “We do not want to expose to risks the lives and health of our supporters. We recognize only the legal, peaceful and non-violent methods of political struggle,” reads the statement. The Committee will inform public opinion about its subsequent actions when time comes.
